BBQ* Weekends
(*Bed, Breakfast & Quilt)
Spring or Fall? ... or "All of the Above!"Why not take a long weekend just for YOU? Have fun, relax, eat, talk, laugh, and sew your little heart out. After all, you deserve a little time for yourself, and, better yet, you can invite your BQBs (Best Quilting Buddies) to join you!
Our weekends are designed to maximize your fun. We are here to help you get away from the constant demands of everyday life, and just kick back and have a good ol' time. Sew if you feel like it, just hang out if you don't. No pressure. Do you have a location in mind for a BBQ Weekend, but don't know how to put it together? Just Contact Us! We will coordinate it and give you a per-person price. Then just invite your friends to sign up with us, pack your bags, and come on down. It's that simple. No, really. Down the Shore
We have our Jersey Shore BBQ in the Spring and Fall at the Adventurer Inn, located on the beach in Wildwood Crest, NJ. It is a full-service hotel with free parking, an elevator to make it easy to unload and load with lots of hotel carts, big rooms with kitchenettes, a balcony in every room, and a Convention Room on the 7th Floor with a birds-eye view of the nearby beach. The room is locked at night so you can feel free to leave your valuable items there if you wish.
We provide you with: all classes, Saturday's dinner at a local restaurant, tables, chairs, the initial wiring with heavy-duty extension cords (you should still bring an extension cord, just in case), a couple of irons & ironing pads, wine for the evenings, a five-pound box of Wilbur Buds, and lots of bottled water. We encourage you to bring a favorite snack to share, but don't feel obligated. If there are charges for patterns or supplies, we always do our best to discount them for you. Sometimes we will offer kits. When we do offer kits, we try to keep these expenses to a minimum as well. We want you to enjoy a relaxing weekend, meet new friends, and just have a good ol' time! If you want to take the afternoon off, by all means do so! (It's a good idea to let us know, though, so we won't be looking for you.) If you want to bring your non-quilter spouse or friend, that's fine, too. Just let us know if they want to join us for Saturday dinner (we will only charge them our cost for their dinner). All the details are on our Registration Form, including descriptions of the classes being offered, information on the instructors, and order forms for the patterns and/or kits or supplies.
